OUR WEDDING IN MALLORCA!

We weren’t even engaged when we found our dream location for our wedding. We were in Mallorca doing some location scouting for my retreats when we fell head over heels in love with our special hill top paradise. I have held three of my White Light Yoga retreats in this magical place and for us, we just knew it was where we had to get married. Having our best friends and closest family together in a place we love so much and know so well, meant everything. I still get emotional just thinking about it and can’t wait to return in September for my Teacher’s retreat. Will proposed a few months after visiting Mallorca and the planning commenced. We had our venue and we had a few people we really trusted in Mallorca, who knew our vibe and knew what we wanted. We never used a wedding planner and instead worked with people who we knew through friends on the island, making it even more intimate and personal. We wanted our wedding to feel completely like us and a celebration of who we are as a couple, and that is something we fully did from start to finish. Anything traditional or weddingy that didn’t make sense to us, we got rid of. We created the weekend with us at the centre and stayed true to ourselves. Having our best friends and family come on board for the ride was the best feeling in the world, from our ceremony sing along, crystal blessings and hilltop yoga. It was the most magical day of our lives and we could not be more grateful to have the most loving and fun people around us, supporting us all the way!

I got ready with my best women at the villa my family were staying at, meanwhile Will and his best men got ready at the wedding venue, which is where we were staying for the long weekend with our bridal party. I did my own hair and make up because I didn’t want to be too glam, I just wanted to feel and look like myself on a really special day.

My bridesmaids wore jumpsuits from Twobirds New York and my flower girls wore dresses that were hand made by my Mum. My dress was Rime Arodaky which I bought from Mews in Notting hill.

Meanwhile…Will and the boys were getting ready, they had the toughest job as they had to do some final preparations before all our guests arrived, hence why I chose to get ready elsewhere! ?

When our guests arrived we had Hernan, who plays on my retreats, playing flutes and handpan whilst drinks were served and the boys welcomed everyone to the wedding.

And then our ceremony began. For me, this was the most special part to create. We decided to have one of our good friend’s marry us, Coral, she was the one who introduced us in the beginning so it made everything even more special. We got married in the orchard which looks out to rolling hills. We loved that we were able to create a real journey through the wedding. Each part of the wedding moved through to new parts of the venue, uncovering magic in every corner along the way. For our ceremony we gave everyone a hand written letter with a crystal in it. We did a crystal blessing where everyone made a wish for us, there was not a dry eye in the house! We had a sing along where we all sang “All you need is love” because well, it’s true. Our amazing band played throughout the ceremony. Will walked down the aisle first to “Praise you” then I entered to “Halo” – Beyonce’s my queen forever.

We had a marching band to take us on our journey to all the new areas of the wedding which kept energy high at all times! The marching band led us up to the next layer of our venue to the cocktails and canopies where we had a live band. We chose to have our band before dinner which we loved so much, we ended up being on our friends shoulders before 6pm!

For dinner we had a sharing banquet with platters of food down the centre of the table with loads of delicious vegan options. Everyone’s name setting was a tambourine to add more fun and Will and I entered dinner to Aquarius with a hilarious little dance we made up at home. This was one of my favourite moments from the day for sure! We finished dinner with a desert wine that had to be drunk from way up high which resulted in having to wear a bib, see the pics below! I got changed into huge white flairs and then we danced all night with Paco our magical musical magician.

The next day we had yoga in our very own hill top shala followed by bespoke pizzas and one banging pool party!
